I’ve been writing romance since I was thirteen and at fourteen sent this handwritten, completely unprofessional looking query letter off to Mills and Boon/Harlequin telling them that I’d written the best romance ever! Needless to say, nothing came of that. This early rejection didn’t faze me; I kept writing. In 2012 I finally took the plunge to self-publish a little story I’d been working on for many, many years, The Unwanted Wife, and that was that. Apparently I’m an author now.

Always a romantic, and a writer, I ‘published’ my first book at the age of 12 – and then took a sabbatical so my next book, Cry of the Rocks, came out about 40 years later. I’m a reader, a writer, a single use plastic hater and the slave of a mean-eyed cat. My first novel, A Fractured Land, was published in the USA in 2018. My second novel, Shadow Flicker, won the inaugural Romance Writers Organisation of South Africa’s Strelitzia Award in 2017. I’m honoured and delighted that both titles were published in South Africa in 2019 by Karavan Press. I’m a frothing SUP surfer so besides writing fiction, I share the stoke as a freelance surf writer.
