Cape Retreat 2023
Held at the Waterfront Aquarium in Cape Town, one full day of speakers followed by another of writing sprints, was thoroughly enjoyed by the attendees.
Cape Retreat 2019
ROSA’s third annual Retreat for romance writers, was held at the stunning Lalapanzi Lodge in Sir Lowry’s Pass.
There was a full day of guest speakers, with Louise Fury, literary agent from The Bent Agency in New York, as the headline speaker.
Sunday was taken up with writing sprints and networking.
Cape Retreat 2018
For ROSA’s second annual Retreat for romance writers, we once again returned to the stunning Lalapanzi Lodge in Sir Lowry’s Pass.
The Retreat took place on Saturday 3rd March 2018, with a dinner evening and a bonus extra day of writing sessions on Sunday 4th March. Space was limited to only 15 delegates.
Four guest speakers, including New York literary agent Louise Fury of The Bent Agency, goodie bags, great food, writing sessions, and the chance to network with other writers in a gorgeous and inspiring setting, was what was on offer at this wonderful event.
Cape Retreat 2017
In February 2017, ROSA hosted its first Retreat in the Western Cape, at the scenic Lalapanzi Lodge in Sir Lowry’s Pass near Somerset West. We were delighted to host literary agent Louise Fury, of The Bent Agency in New York, as our guest speaker. A day full of talks and writing sessions concluded with a sit-down dinner which stretched late into the night as we talked books and publishing to our hearts’ content.
