Writing is a solitary act – but it doesn’t have to be a lonely one. At ROSA, we believe that the best writing happens when writers feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger than their own manuscript. That is why events sit at the very heart of what we do.

Throughout the year, ROSA offers events designed to meet writers wherever they are – in their craft, in their career, and in the country. Whether you are just starting out and looking for your first writing community, or a seasoned published author seeking industry connections and peer feedback, there is a place for you in our calendar.

Some of what we offer is practical – workshops that sharpen your craft, critique sessions that strengthen your manuscript, industry panels that demystify the path to publication. Some of it is motivational – writing sprints that get words on the page when inspiration feels distant, accountability groups that keep you showing up even when the middle of your novel feels impossible. And some of it is simply joyful – retreats, celebrations, and award ceremonies that remind us all why we fell in love with this genre in the first place.

ROSA’s events take place online and in person, across regional chapters and at national level, in Cape Town and the Winelands and beyond.
