My greatest passion is books. As a young child our parents used to leave my elder sister and I in the children’s section of a bookstore while they went shopping. We spend hours drooling over everything there. Writing is obviously another passion. It started with a spell of freelance journalism and continued in staff newsletters, church newsletters, Bible Commentaries, until I published “Cupid Mislaid” in 2017 that being my first novel.

I'm a self-confessed romantic and ardent fan of Jane Austen. With my heart linked to the English side of my ancestry, I delight in writing historical romances set in England. Being an introvert and a lover of the English language, writing is fun, enormously rewarding and addictive, and can be done alone, at home, and comfortably near a kettle! Having a form of dyslexia has made writing a challenge, but where there's a will there's a way. Writing lifts the spirits and feeds the soul.

Storytelling is in my blood and I have ‘bled’ in many ways. In paint, exhibiting in the Zimbabwean National Gallery. In design, advertising & content creation, telling stories for clients. My first novel, Harcourt’s Mountain, the 1st in The Harcourts of Canada series, an historical romance family saga, was published traditionally. In 2020 I published the 2nd in the series, Heart of the Mountain.

A widow enjoying the autumn of my life, writing contemporary romances gives me a reason for getting out of bed in the morning. I published my first romance at the age of 87. When my friends asked how I could write the sexy bits at my age, I reassured them - although I'm out of practice, I have a good memory and an excellent imagination. When I’m not creating irresistibly ravishing heroes and feisty heroines, my interest turns to wine, and I've adopted the motto "growing old disgracefully."
