Judy Croome

I could read before I could talk, or so my mom says. Always a voracious reader, of anything from romance authors Georgette Heyer and Mary Balogh to philosophers Osho and Rudolf Steiner, being An Author has been a life goal for as long as I can remember.

It's a dream I only started following when I married. With the support of my lovely husband (another Alpha Male) I started working on the craft of writing, adding yet another chapter to my eclectic career path, which has included waitress, accountant, evolutionary astrologer and now writer.

At first, I wrote romances and learned that being a romance reader doesn't make one a romance author. With six completed, but unpublished, romance novels behind me, I realised the romance genre was not for me. And so I embarked on the adventure of finding my unique voice. I still write about Love, but the Love my current heroes and heroines now seek is Agape (Divine Love) rather than Eros (Romantic Love). I am currently researching and writing my second full length novel.

Along my writing path, I've also managed to pick up some formal qualifications. I have a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude), Bachelor of Arts (Honours: English Language and Literature) (cum laude), a Masters of Arts (English Studies) and a Diploma in Business Management (cum laude). But the best lessons I have had in the craft of writing have been those gained by actually writing, writing and writing some more.
