Ryk Neethling
So, being a South African
romance writing community, we have to drool (I
mean dwell)
on a home boy every now and then. Enter Ryk Neethling.
Born on the 17th November 1977
- yay, that's the same day as me! (well the day, not the year,
of course!) That makes him a delectable Scorpio - and you know what
they say about Scorpios ....
Forget
about the sting in
the tail and focus on the deep, all-consuming
sexuality that resides within. Think brooding, passionate Alpha male
who likes to delve into the mysterious. Oh, and he's 32 so the perfect
category romance hero age! Now, do I have your attention? I thought so.
Born and bred in Bloemfontein, Ryk learned to swim from the age of six.
He attended Grey College, which is well reputed here in South Africa
and boasts ex-Presidents and other politicians amongst its alumni.
Have you noticed how yummy it
is when a hottie is also a swimmer? So many topless photographs!
But
I digress ... once Ryk was done with Greys he went on to study at
the University of Arizona in 1996. There he exploded onto our radar by
becoming their most successful athlete - ultimately landing the
prestigious title of University of Arizona Athlete of the Century!
As a South African record holder and with several gold medals under his
trunks, Ryk is also the first local boy to have competed in four
Olympic games! The man has been in fantastic shape for a very long
time. Swoon. Drool.
Here
in South Africa we have got quite used to seeing our Ryk in the Jenna
Clifford ads (see below), as he was named their first male brand
ambassador. The campaigns so far have rendered some very inspiring
photographs!
